i have tons of digital photos in my computer. i got tired of printing all of them then sticking to separate albums which take a LOT of space. do you have any ideas, or freeware i can turn to that automatically makes photo albums so I could just burn it in a CD. I need it badly cause no one knows if my pc will need to be reformatted again and lost all of em.

Are you talking about an actual, physical album you can touch, or a file folder on your computer? Lots of photos will take up a lot of space no matter what. Even if you put them on CDs. What you could do is buy yourself a portable hard drive (they vary in price, depending on how much memory you buy) and dedicate that to just your photos. That way, all of your photos can be in one place (and you can still make CDs if you'd like. Its just stored somewhere other than your computer's hard drive)
As far as putting photos into separate folders... It IS time consuming, but I think you have the best control when you do it by hand. There are however different keystrokes that you can use to make the process go by faster.
For example:
To choose all pictures use Ctrl+A (Chooses all)
To select more than one, hold down Ctrl and click on all the photos you want to drag and drop to a new folder (It'll deselect if the file is already highlighted)
Hold down shift and use the arrow keys to select files adjacent to each other
Hold down ctrl+shift and using the arrow keys to select rows of files.
I hope this information helps. If not, let me know. I'm not entirely sure what you were asking and you need to be a bit more specific on what the problem is. [ Ayo's advice column | Ask Ayo A Question ]
