In the first few seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County Slade Smiley is financially well off, he supports his then girlfriend Jo and lives in a big house in a gated community. Now, he is dating Gretchen and he is broke. Does anyone know how he loses all of his money??

Hi there,

I read the complete episode guide for the show and wasn't able to find any reference to this.

Odds are it was real estate related like most other default failures in the area at the time this was being filmed.
