Birth control shot and possible pregnancy I have been on the depo provera shot for over 6 months. I know there is a very small chance I'm pregnant (I use condoms too) but I can't help shake the thought that I might be pregnant. I know your supposed to take a pregnancy test after your missed period.... But the shot stops me from getting a period at all... So I waited about 2.5 weeks from when I thought it happened and took the first response test. It came back negative. Do you think I waited long enough to take the test? I'm still concerned....

yeah i would let me doctor know i wasnt having my period at all sounds like it may be to much for your body. i know on birth control there is no reason for having a period but i think you should still have one. I wouldnt thing you are pregant :) good luck dont worry to much about it just talk to the doc ]
When I was on Depo, I took a pregnancy test once a month. You can get them at some dollar stores, so it doesn't cost as much. That way I could be 100% certain.
If you're still worried, wait a week or two and try again.
The best part of Depo, though, is that it's way more effective than the pill because it's kind of foolproof. If you're using condoms too, you should be fine unless he's Superman or something ;) ]
