I just bought a new 40" LCD TV. I am wondering if
spending the 10.00 a month extra for the Direct TV
HD package is worth it?
The picture looks great to me now without it. Will I really notice a big difference adding HD?
Thank you.

K3587 answered Saturday May 22 2010, 7:06 pm: It depends on what the package entails. If $10 a month only gets you HD channels, I'd say don't bother. If the picture looks good already, why pay more to upgrade? I've never had DTV, I had Suddenlink but cut it off cause we're broke. The HD package I had was an additional $15 a month, but included HD channels, DVR, and On Demand. That was definitely worth every penny. Since my job kept me out most of the time, the DVR meant I could still watch everything, on my own time.
HD can be overrated. Hell, I sold and delivered HDTVs every day, and I still can't always tell a HD picture apart from a SD one. [ K3587's advice column | Ask K3587 A Question ]

Sure if you want to spend the extra money go for it...but I would pocket the money instead of paying for something that might make a little big of a difference.
