late period

Question Posted Friday May 21 2010, 1:38 am

My period is 6 days late and I have taken pregnancy test and it came out as "negative". I think that stress is the problem to the delay because I have school, work, and family problems. Should I see a doctor about it or wait it out?

Are you on the pill? if so it could be a weird reacion to that. Weight loss gain any of that can cause a late peroid. Last month i missed mine completely then this month i started. i would say if the worring is really bugging you that bad go but if you think you took the right percautions just wait till next month if it doesnt come then go to the doctor. hope all works out for you

nope actually i have a friend that was so stress with school and family that she missed her period for two months. stress causes that. i would wait it out and stop stressing and everything will be okay.

I would wait it out at least another week, If you still have no period, take another test, and see the results, Either Negative, or Positive give your doctor a call. Stress could defiantly make a period late.

You can always give your doctor a call and talk to him/her or the nurse. Explain your situation and they will tell you what to do and if you have to make an appointment.

Stress is a good reason though. If you have had a lot lately, it could be a pretty good possibility. Also, sometimes periods are late. I don't know your age, but if you are a teen, they tend to do that.
