fake account gone wrong
About two years ago, a friend and i made up a fake facebook acoount as a joke. We are girls. We were junoirs in high school and now I realize it was dumb. It was made solely to creep on ex boyfriends. This one guy messaged the fake account and gave her his number. We started texting. I wasn't interested in him at all. I didn't even think he was cute!
Slowly, we started to like each other. I broke it off because I knew we could never meet. But, I cried so much because I missed him. We were in love or atleast thought we were. He messaged me again and told me he wanted me in his life still. I don't want to keep this lie going.
I have self-esteem issues because my older sister is so beautiful. I'm not ugly or fat. I'm 19 now and he is 21. I know I should tell him the truth. But I don't know how to. Please help me.

Tell him the truth. Its at least worth a shot. Just explain yourself to him and tell him why you guys made the account and that you never expected to meet someone. Tell him you were scared to tell him before but you dont want to keep living a lie with him because he means so much to you. Tell him about your self esteem issues. Yea, he might cut his ties with you thats no worse than you just cutting him off because its all a lie. In my opinion, if he really does have serious feelings for you, he will get past it. maybe just tell him the reason the account has fake info was for your privacy. Tell him you still wanted to make friends and have fun but for your safety you didnt put an real info it so easy to track some one down these days. In my opionon it is diffrent online and texting some one thinking you like them. in person things could be total diffrent. If he gets mad and never wants to talk to you again then thats fine cause it could be totaly diffrent face to face. Just tell him that and then see where if goes. BUT PLEASE BE SAFE meeting people online is very dangourse. i have done it tons of times and thank goodness nothing has ever happen, but it awlays could so be safe about it.
