It's not so much as I hate my school as I hate my peers. I'm actually considered one of the better known people in school and sure I like some people but it always turns out like they all just annoy me. My best friend I wouldn't consider my best friend because she's always bringing me down by telling me stuff I don't want to hear. And whenever she's with boys she ignores me. I don't think she knows she's doing it but it ruins my day. What are some things I can tell her?
Also, I really just want to transfer schools. I will be in high school next year and I wouldn't at all mind going to a new environment. I just can't stand my school. I talked to my parent's but they said "no, because it's not in our district." Are their any loopholes? Any scholarships to other schools?
I live in Illinois by the way. About thirty minutes from Chicago.
And I know I sound kind of whinny but I just wanted advice and this is how I feel. Does anyone else feel this way?

Katlyn answered Thursday May 13 2010, 4:23 pm: Okay well to answer the first part of your question about your friend ignoring you and not treating you like a friend i suggest you tell her how you feel and tell her that you dont like how she brings you down all the time and ask her how she would feel if you did the same things to her im sure once you tell her whats going on she will understand and quit being a bad friend. Now for the last part of your question about school well i know its hard to stay in a school where you find everyone annoying i actually left my highschool because i hated the people and then went to a different highschool that was in my area and ended up hating that even more because i couldnt make any decent friends and it was just different then what i was use to and eventually i ended up wanting to go back only to find out i wasnt allowed back because the school is full this happened 2 years ago and now for my final year im going back to the school i wanted to but my point is dont make a decision too fast you might think it will awesome to switch and go to a different school but the truth is what your expecting the other school to be like isnt what its going to be like. I think you should just stay who knows maybe if you just look at the people in a different way you might like them. Also there arent any loopholes unless you live in the district of that school you cant go there unless they say you can. And there are scholarships but you do have to sign up for them in a year or two advance you might have already missed the deadline and out of everyone else trying out for the scholarship your chances of getting it might not be so high.
