Sun Tanning I want to go sun bathing so I can get some color on my skin. I'm very white without the sun. Yesterday I got burnt pretty badly when I went out for an hour and a half. I know that that's way too much exposure of UV rays. So from now on, I'm just going to go out for 30-40 minutes. 15-20 minutes on each side. I need advice on how to tan healthy without suffering from a sunburn. Will I tan well with spf45+ or spf30? Or do I need tanning oil? I don't know what to put on my skin. I don't want the sun totally blocked because I want a tan but I'm not really sure how sunblock works when it comes to tanning. How long would you suggest that I spend out in the sun? What procedures should I take in order to be tn with little damage and to be as tan as I could get?

Put sunblock on all over, and the spf doesn't matter all that much because no matter how high you get, you have to re apply every hour and a half to two hours or so. Otherwise you will definitely burn. Never sit out in the sun without sunblock. You will still get a tan with sunblock on! Tanning without sunblock is really dangerous and greatly increases your risk of skin cancer! It's not worth it. Plus, when you get old if you have tanned too much your skin will get more wrinkly and rough like leathery! ew ]
Honestly sun tanning is not the best thing especially now in days people are getting more and more diseases just from being in the sun too much skin cancer is a huge thing right now so be careful i suggest getting a tanning lotion insttead because it gives you the nice tan without damaging your body and i should mention that sunscreen or any other product wont help so ya again be careful. :) ]
