One Ovary
My friend recently found out that she was born with only one ovary. She has never had a period and she is 17. She is supposed to see a specialist very ssoon. I have tried serching online for these kind of topics but this condition is very rare. I guess my question is why hasent she gotten her period? She is still flat too. its like she has no hormones that make her grow into a woman. would doctors give her hormone pills? If she went on birth control, would that make her have her periods? Im just kind of worried for her. I know she ill find all this out eventually but im just curious.

I heard that if a women hasnt gotten her period its because she has a male hormone in her and that changes everything so maybe just wait until she goes to the doctor because they can probably tell you whats going on better also it could have something to do with weight if shes overweight that could be another problem but ya a doctor again would be the source for all the information.
