Film Schools?

Question Posted Monday April 19 2010, 7:17 pm

My entire life i've dreamed of going to New York University for a career in film (behind the camera like director, editor etc). As i'm getting older, im starting to realize how expensive schools like NYU really are, but at the same time, for the competetive field i want to go in, i need a somewhat popular school. Does anyone know any good film schools in the U.S or Canada?

Additional info, added Tuesday April 20 2010, 11:27 am:
I live in Pennsylvania, but i'm not looking for a school here. Yes i realize that out of state tuition is more expensive, but i want to go out of state..

In what state do you live? I only ask that because it is usually cheaper to go to a university in the state in which you live. Usually in-state tuition is much more affordable than tuition for those that live outside of the state.
