Getting birth control in canada with prescription
Hi there
My boyfriend and I have been having sex with condoms, but we'd like to try a different form of contraceptive.
I was thinking of getting the Nuvaring.
We are Canadian. Is it possible to just go to a Walk-in Clinic and get a prescription?
I'm pretty unclear on the whole getting a prescription/renewing it, since I wouldn't be doing it with my mom. She's aware and accepting that I am sexually active, but birth control (paying for it) is my respondsibility.

You can absolutely do that (I'm Canadian too).
However, I would seriously recommend anything but the Nuvaring. You know how they say that you "may" experience increased risk of infections? Change that to WILL experience NASTY infections. Honestly, I tried to love it, but that was not a pleasant experience.

Ya you can go to a walk in clinic and a if you ask for it the doctor will give you a prescription and you will be able to get your birth control so dw no need to stress about it just make an appointment and the doctor will give you it sometimes they might give you samples to see which one is best but if you say you just want the full size prescription they will give it. :D
