studying over what you've learnt in class.

There aren't classes for it. Each schools are different. Some MAY have classes, but most of us do "revision" in class - incase we have a test coming up in that subject.

Revision is when you have exams coming up and you go over stuff you have already learnt, revising it.
It's to try and remind you of stuff so you don't forget for the exam :)
