I need advice on how to get rid of scabie scars.

Question Posted Monday April 5 2010, 7:51 am

Hi,
I am a 30 year old woman and when i was 19 i got scabies. I treated it and managed to get rid of them. I still have small round scars from the scabies. Is that normal to still have these scars after these many years and is there any way that i could get rid of them? I was thinking about laser surgery, but my only ins. is medicade and im not sure if that would be covered. Please help me!!!

I believe that the laser treatment would be considered cosmetic surgery which isn't covered unfortunatly. Now i'll have you know i'm not a medical professional but I am a nurse in training. people are concerned about scars all the time and although some scars will still leave evidence behind, Mederma is an excellent product. You can purchase this at any drug store. Any questions, feel free to ask. good luck:]
