My best friend of 7 years and I are fighting a lot recently. I hate when we fight and we never fought before. He is a boy and I am a girl, we are both fifteen. I know we still care about each other, I just hate that we fight and the we started fighting more after a rumor went around the school that we like each other. Why do you think we're fighting? Because of the rumor? Thanks

Also a boy and a girl can be JUST friends, but not for long. One or the other will eventually feel more. It is the nature of men and women.
The fighting is due to NOT COMMUNICATING AND NOT BEING HONEST WITH EACH OTHER.
I don't' know if you have discussed it with him or not, if not, do. If you have and the fighting continues, its time to give each other a break. A true friendship will always endure.
