i was watching hannah montanna as i was going to bed and it was the episode where she has dreams that her horse is warning her.
then, as i was watching the episode my eyes got heavy and i began to dose off. i have a tendency of dreaming something and something similiar to it happens eventually. when i fell asleep, i had a nightmare that everyone was telling me that the world was gonna end in 4 days. i got VERY scared. and there were bombs everywhere and there was war everywhere and i was just terrified and when i woke up, i was SOOO glad that it was just only a dream. did this mean anything???? i'm really scared of death & especially the hypothesis about 12/21/12. Do you think that this is all just my fear in my dream? wills something happen in 4 days? i'm very scared. i woke up with cold sweat. or is it just a nightmare and should i just move on?
SarcasticGreetings answered Sunday March 14 2010, 7:51 pm: It was a stupid nightmare. Move on.
People tend to dream about stuff they know about. I think this is because sleeptime is when all your daytime experiences get encoded into long-term memory. The hippocampus and amygdala (memory-related things in your brain) are active while you dream.
So what happened was stuff you've thought about (and stuff that went through your mind subconsciously) made its way into your dream. The end.
A lot of people think dreams are symbols about your subconscious concerns. Maybe. I don't know enough about that to comment on it. But what I do know is that dreams are not a window to the future. We're all capable of making predictions based on facts, but that's it. We don't know EXACTLY what will happen. You said it yourself, you're extremely concerned about 2012. So no wonder you dreamed about it. (2012, by the way, is bullshit. Nothing is going to happen, just like nothing happened on Y2K and 6/6/06. I've explained this in a previous question: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) )
So no. Nothing will happen in four days. The world will not crumble. Don't worry yourself about it; if you will, you will likely frantically watch the news that day and link WHATEVER horror story comes on with yoru dream (news flash: bad shit happens every day in this world. four days from now will be no different, so there will be some sort of mugging or accident etc. to report). This will drive you INSANE.

Dont let this nonsence about the world ending get to you. Its just like when people thought the world would end in the year 2000.
Also, i dont believe in dream's having meanings. You have atleast 20dreams a night, only 1-3 of which you remember. But...i did some research:
War
To dream of a war, signifies disorder and chaos in your waking life You are experiencing some internal conflict or emotional struggle which is tearing you up inside. Alternatively, the dream also indicates that you are being overly aggressive or that you are not being assertive enough. Perhaps you need to be prepared to put up a fight in some area of your life. On a more direct level, the dream may be reflection of current wars around the world.
Bomb
To see a bomb in your dream, indicates that you may be going through a potentially explosive and trying situation in your waking life. The bomb could represent repressed desires and unexpressed emotions that are likely to explode or burst if not dealt with soon. It could be something within yourself, such as the desire to explode with anger over an issue that's affecting you.
To dream that you are unable to disarm a bomb, suggests that your anger is out of control.
To dream of a bomb threat, suggests that you are experiencing some inner anger and/or pressures which are on the verge of exploding into violence.
Nuclear Bomb
To dream of a nuclear bomb, suggests feelings of helplessness, being threatened and loss of control. You may be experiencing great hostility and rage to the point of being destructive. Alternatively, you may be expressing a desire to wipe out some aspect of yourself. It may also be an indication that something crucial and precious to you has ended and important changes are about to occur.
