If you are looking to become a travel or any other kind of journalist you don't do a degree in business or hospitality. Neither field has anything to do with writing articles about travel.
What you absolutely must need is a journalism degree and to learn how to write, edit, design pages and work on a community or other publication. You need to do that plus work as an intern or volunteer at any publication or even a travel one to gain clippings.
You also want a journalism program with photo journalism courses in it. Much of travel reporting has to do with taking pictures to run with your article or doing that for someone else's piece.
Unless you can minor in international studies or business don't bother but do go after the journalism as a major. Try also to pick up a foreign language or two on the side. ]
Your best bet is to leave many job options available for you after college. I would study with a major in international business, learn a couple of different languages thoroughly, (French and Spanish should do it) and minor in possibly Hospitality or some similar "usable" thing. Then you can be a working executive for a cruise line or something of the like and get to do most of your traveling for free. And as a hobby, you can write a travel column for a magazine or newspaper.
Good luck to you. ]
