Really greasy hair My hair is always to greasy after flat ironing it. I use baby powder to clear it up, but that never lasts for long. I shampoo often and use a clarifying shampoo. I even clean my flat iron. But when I leave it curly, there's no grease. How to I keep my hair looking straight but fresh?

Few things to consider/try out:
*If you've been using the same shampoo for a while, switch! Your hair becomes used to the same products, therefore not working as well. Preferably use one that's for greasy/oily hair. Apply it twice instead of once, just to make sure you've got rid of any products etc the first time around.
*Don't put conditioner at the roots. Always apply it starting from mid length, to ends. Or don't use it at all.
*Don't rub your head too much when washing.
*Rinse your hair with cool water at the end of washing.
*Once you've straightened your hair, add a touch of extra hold hair spray - I find after straightening my hair and use it, it keeps it looking better for longer.
*Do you use straightening balm/serum? If you do, it may be too oily, so switch that too. ]
Also, I don't know if you use conditioner, but if you do, don't use conditioner before straightening your hair! It leaves it greasy and oily. Shampoo strips away excess oils and along with it some of your natural oil. Conditioner replaces it. If you have oily hair don't use conditioner unless you have to and if you have to make sure not to use it anywhere but the ends of your hair. NOT ON YOUR SCALP! You shouldn't do that whether you have oily hair or not. ]
Consider getting an oil free shampoo or something meant for oily hair also always wash your hair before using a flat iron because sometimes if you use it over unwashed hear oil will build on it and you cant really get rid of it so that might be another reason for you having greasy hair also wash your hair every other day and if no of this works then get a dry shampoo to use before you straight iron your hair. ]
