Question Posted Saturday February 20 2010, 8:23 pm
Personally, would you prefer to donate you own money to
a)your community and/or country
b)other countries who live in a higher poverty(kenya, chad, Haiti)
Would your donation depend on the cause.(eg. money for food.Money for shelter.Money for sanatation. money to help orphans)
i would just like to know because i am interested in holding a fundraiser at my school but am still unsure of where to give the money. Where would you care more to donate to?
(Am especially weary of Haiti because so many have donated so much there already)
itdependsonyoux3 answered Sunday February 21 2010, 1:59 pm: definetely donate money to my own community/country. alot of places need help, and so does your own community. like the other advicenators said, help your own country first before you give anywhere else.
i would donate to places like animal shelters or hospitals.. places that dont get the attention they need, but should.
good luck ! hope i helped and good for you :] xxo. [ itdependsonyoux3's advice column | Ask itdependsonyoux3 A Question ]

Also because you can see the results later on, whereas with other countries, people won't really know what happens to their money. They won't see it again. But if you do something for your school or town, they'll be able to see where there money is going. Which may give you a bigger turnout, and more money.
Also yeah, you have to take care of your own problems before you take care of other peoples'. And you have to take care of your own community before you take care of other countries'. [ helloxdear13's advice column | Ask helloxdear13 A Question ]
