Tugging feeling when lying down

Question Posted Thursday February 11 2010, 11:02 pm

I was in the tanning bed the other day and noticed that when I was lying down I felt like someone was tugging my stomach or something like that.
It didn't hurt, it was just like someone was pulling my stomach, trying to stretch it out or something.
But when I started to put just a little pressure on my stomach, it hurt.
Not too bad, but more of an ache.
But I felt it everywhere I pushed on my stomach.
The lower I pushed, the more it hurt until I pushed like an inch below the belt line.
My period has been whack the past two months.
I get it a week or two early.
And it's very light (Like not even enough to fill a pantyliner in a day), and it would last about 4 days each time.

I was explaining it to my boyfriend because he was wondering why I kept pushing his head off of my stomach when we were laying down.
So I got him to push just like I had to explain why I was pushing him away.
He said that my stomach felt harder.
I think it actually does feel harder.
I'm not sure though, I don't touch my stomach much, but he's always touching it so he would notice more than I would.

It feels fine with jeans on and everything.
Like when I sit, it doesn't hurt when my jeans push into my body.
But then again that might be because it's pushing lower?

I was getting pretty nauseous last month, but not so much this month. Just a little every now and then.
I still get lightheaded a lot though.
Not jsut when I stand but also when I sit.
And lately, whenever I close my eyes while laying down, I feel like the room is shaking?

I don't know.

I think you should take a pregnancy test.

if you are not pregannt are you on birth control. talk to your doctor about taking it because it will regulate your periods (taking the pill) or taking the shot will get rid of them.

make an appt with your doctor they can give you a pregnancy test. just tell your doctor what has been going on (if you think your not prego because of a period a girl i worked with had her period for months during her pregnancy.)

It's time to see a doctor.

Maybe you're pregnant, but I've never heard of a symptom where it feels like someone is pulling on your stomach. You shouldn't have pain, pregnant or not, when you push on your stomach, unless you are pushing terribly hard.

If you were pregnant, you wouldn't get your period. You might bleed if there was a problem though.

I wouldn't hesitate to get to the doctor, having nausea and feeling the room shake. This isn't normal. At least he can rule out a major problem and give you peace of mind.
