Okay i am freaking out! My laptop is practicallly new, its about 1 year old(little less), and this is the first time i have ever had a problem with it~
Okay so about 10 minutes a go I was playing the sims 3 like i do every day and my computer just crashed i guess. It turned off No warning nothing! It was plugged in and everything.
So then I tried to turn it back on and it crashed again within 5 seconds. I did this 2 more times, same thing. So i left it for about 10 minutes and tried again, now it is on. What do i do . I can't afford a new laptop is this a common problem.
Are you using a good laptop cooling pad? If not, that would be a great addition. Better for you and better for the computer. :-)
You do need to be certain that the main cooling fan hasn't failed before you go any farther... so if you are unable to figure that part out for certain, then do have a computer nerd have a look on your behalf.
It isn't certain to be an overheating issue, but if it only does this while you are playing high end games, then you are in the 90% range for overheating.
Just as a random note: Laptops should COME with an extra cooling platform. Did you know that you can be injured by some laptops overheating? Did you know that you can functionally double the working lifespan of an overheating laptop with one of these? Better still they aren't expensive and even walmart carries them. I was told that could have been the cause of mine crashing. [ xkatiex's advice column | Ask xkatiex A Question ]

You might want to take it to your local computer shop (or to someone you trust) to see what is wrong with it. [ Mum's advice column | Ask Mum A Question ]
