I hate to break it to you sweetie, but yes, you do in-fact have to STOP kissing him. He has Mono. It's highly contagious. If you don't want the change of catching it, I suggest not kissing him...it's though, but it's a must.

Mono is contagious, Not only have I once experienced it but I was as sick as a dog for a good week to the point where I just didn't have the strength to even get out of bed and it was BAD. I highly suggest you to ride it out for awhile until he is clear of it. Keep in mind since he has already got mono he is perfectly capable of getting it again.

it is in fact called the kissing disease. DO NOT kiss him. i repeat, DO NOT kiss him. yeah, youll be sad for awhile, but it will be worth the waiting so you dont get sick also. it happened to my bestfriend and her boyfriend, except she was the one with mono, but didnt know she had it, she gave it to her boyfriend.

on another note, only rare and severe cases of mono last 5 months or longer. usually you only feel it for about 2 weeks, sometimes even one, then you're ready to go back to school. after you get over the tiredness and all you want to do is sleep phase, you cant participate in sports for 6-8 weeks, but again, thats only with the rare and severe cases, because the spleen can explode, and thats very deadly. tell your boyfriend to be careful! after 2 weeks, id say your safe to kiss him again, but be cautious, make sure he goes to the doctor to make sure its gone. but, after you have had mono even once, it stays in your body, it just isnt active.

Don't kiss your boyfriend i researched the illness
and it said that the virus can be spread through kissing and the nickname is the kissing disease so
i wouldn't suggest you kissing your boyfriend seeing as you could possiblity catch what he has and it isn't a fun experience to be sick then
you'll end up missing school and all the work during
class you'll be able to kiss him again once he's not sick anymore(:
