I Want To Sell My Coin How Do I Go About Doing That?

Question Posted Monday February 1 2010, 11:16 pm

I have an old coin that I would like to sell since I am having some really bad financial times. How would I go about selling my coin? Are their rare coin dealers or do I have to take it to like a pawn shop?

Thank you!

You could contact several bullion dealers online who deal with collectible coins. Swiss America deals in Numismatics. You aren't obligated to sell to the first bidder. You just need to get info on what the coin is worth. These transactions can be done on the phone.

Here's some sites for starters...

Be careful when dealing with gold dealers. Some hole i the wall shops will rip you off. Look at the spot price of gold...[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Spot price is what an ounce of gold is selling for at any given moment. A collectible coin is going to be worth more than spot, and that's up to you to research it's value.

This website is the best there is...[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Mr. Chapman allows people to email him with questions and he answers them all. I would suggest you contact him.

Well this all depends on where you live, but most cities have a coin shop where they buy, sell and trade coins. Look there! But dont just sell because you think its a good deal, some of them will try to rip you off. Do some research on your coin and find out its value and then go from there.

Hope i helepd =]
