Your best bet to losing weight is to follow the mediterranean diet, this diet focuses on small portions of pasta or rice with a larger portion of different vegetables, along with fresh fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds, olives, avacados, etc. Then you have a medium size portion of meat, fish, poultry.

I believe if you research it on the internet you can find the more exact portion sizes if you want something more specific. This diet is also known to be very heart healthy too, because you get your fats from nuts, seeds, olives and avacados.

I personally follow this diet and just brown my meat in a skillet, spice to taste, then throw in my veggies, add sauce (saute) then mix them in with my pasta when done. (I could eat these different variations of pasta dishes every day of my life) and you can get creative with different meats, spices, sauces, mushrooms, black olives, avacados on the side, have salads...with all the trimmings...the possibilities are endless..

As long as you are exercising you will need the carbs anyway. Definitely keep the exercise up! It's very very good for you! It will speed up your metabolism and improve your cardiovascular system.

A way I cut out a decent amount of calories out of my diet is swtiching from half and half in my coffee to skim milk. The calories from the half and half add up, especially when you have mulitple cups a day.

well, i would skip the chocolate milk and just stick too the full half cup of oatmeal. it's more filling so you won't over-eat later on.
NEVER replace breakfast with coffee, you need FOOD to break the fast. not caffeine. on mornings without oatmeal, try toast with peanut butter. i like to have a banana with my foods, it keeps me full and i like it in my oatmeal! you can have coffee on the side, but don't over-do it. or stick with tea. it's healthier for you.

the lunch and dinner sound good. so do the snacks. carrots in the morning is a bit odd. maybe an apple instead? and saving the carrots for a before-dinner snack.

as for the diet coke, i would drop that altogether. if you can't, maybe drink it at lunch instead of before bed. just because it's diet doesn't mean it's good for you. it's loaded with chemicals and things that you just shouldn't eat.

exercise = YES. exercise is a great stress reliever. three - five times per week is most effective for weight loss.

just make sure you drink plenty of water. that's another big concern.

other than that, keep it up!
