i think my insecurities have ruined me.

Question Posted Monday January 25 2010, 9:38 pm

this may be lengthy, but please i have never shared this with anyone and NEED help.

When i was 13 years old i got my period in September for the first time in 8th grade. shortly after this, i realize now i went anorexic. i hardly ate anything, and i lost weight rapidly. my period never came back again a second time. i got extremely thin to the point where by ribs stuck out and my face looked sickly. the sad thing is, the whole reason i did this because i wasnt happy with my body. i was thin, but i had no boobs. i decided if i didnt have boobs, then i would get really skinny instead. its sad that i didnt know that i had no boobs because my period had just started and they had not started growing yet. so i was basically anorexic for about 7-9 months when i realized i was too thin. i started eating normally again and very slowly gained weight. my period return about 2-3 months after i had started eating regularly again. i was still very very skinny. in 8th grade during the height of the anorexia, i was 90 pounds and 5'4. at the beginning of my freshman year, i was 5'4 1/4 and around 100 pounds. my boobs were very shrunkin and little, however i didnt realize this was because i went through anorexia. i gained weight rapidly, by the summer between my freshman and sophmore year i was about 110-115 pounds. my boobs still remained very small but did not appear shrunken or anything anymore. i maintained a weight of about 110-115 throughout my sophmore year and into the summer of my junior year. i am now in my junior year. i am 5'4 and 1/2 and weigh around 123 pounds. i have gained about 35 pounds since my anorexia, but i am not sure i am recovered. i cant tell. i am appear and am physically healthy again and have been for a while now, but i have gained a sufficent amount of weight and my breasts have not grown. they look healthy at least, but are still very small. they haven't really grown at all. can anyone who has any kind of experience in this area please tell me, is there any chance i am still recovering from this? and is there a chance my breasts will still grow?

also, since i have had my period back it has never been regular if that helps at all.

i appreciate any help. once again, thank you.

I am pleased your puting on some weight this gives you a figure and starving enhances the skeleton. If it's a bust line your after time will and a bit of wieght will give you a bust. So until then you can get one from a quality lingerie shop, ask them to measure you properly and they can fit you with a bust enhancing bra exclusivly to fit your body. you should have a fitting at least 5 times in your young life your shape will change with maternity too. it's not the end of the world your still young and your boobs are still perty when gravity takes over it's a new set of problems that's years away. you should wear a non wire bra to bed this stops the wrinkles between your breast in years to come. Embrace your body because it's young and perfect.
