Do they just not like going out or do they not have money to do anything fun?

It was a drag when none of my friends and I had a job or a car because it was so hard to get everyone in the same place. Have you already asked them if they wana go out and do things? (I'm guessing you probably have but just making sure). Sometimes a group of friends just needs someone to say "okay lets go to the movies this wednesday".

If you wana be with your friends but they don't wana do anything ask if they want to come over your place and just have a dvd night.

Also, find out whats in your area. Is there an ice skating rink? rollerblading? bowling? even just a mall? Find out as many things that you can do as you can and ask your friends if they wanna do any of those things.

If your friends are just complete hermits, then.. make new friends! Of course you'd still be friends with your group, but there's nothing wrong with having other friends too! If there's someone you know that you talk to a lot but never really hang out outside of school, just ask them if they want to go out somewhere. After my school formal (which is a prom depending where you are) me and my friend were invited to one of our other friends houses outside of our group and we hung out with a big group of people we never hang out with after school. It was so much fun!

If your in a sport team or any other kind of club, why not do something with them? A few girls I know are really good friends with girls from their dance class and love going out with them.

Finally, if you just can't find anyone, what about family members? I'm not sure if you have any siblings, but why not do something with them? I hang out with my older sister all the time (we go out to dinner sometimes or lunch, shop, explore new places in the city etc.) I don't go out much with my younger brother but we watch dvds and tv shows all the time, and its actually pretty fun just hanging out like that. I never got along with my siblings when we were younger and even now we have little fights but we just found what we could do together and be happy doing it.

I'm 17 and I went to the movies with my dad and my step-mum. I thought it would be weird but it was actually really fun. We went at night and had a nice dinner before we left. My friend does heaps of stuff with her mum because she gets along with her so well.

It's hard to get my group of friends out altogether because we're all so different but on special occassions like birthdays and things we always have a dinner together and split the bill. You don't need a special reason to go out to dinner, and it's not expensive! Usually with about 6 people we pay $20 each, and we get like two pizzas, two pastas, desert, drinks and sometimes something extra.

I have a best-friend and we do a lot more stuff together than we do with the rest of our group. You don't need to have a best friend, but find someone out of your friends that wants to go out too and will be fun to be with.

If eeeeeverything fails, get a job! haha. It sounds silly but you make so many new friends when your at work. If your not old enough to work then I guess this would be a no.
