Okay my school is having a talent show so four of my friends and i are going to do a dance in it. We did one last year too and we got 1st place but we started practicing like five months before it was held. And this year we cant get that head start. And we all cant decide on the same songs. HELP US!!!!!
If so, I would meet with the organizers (teachers) and tell them you need an arrangement of a song that people know but wouldn't expect to have song and choreography from kids for. Have them help you pick one and come up with easy to handle dance moves. Then sing and dance your way to first.
Next have the teachers set up risers, work on lighting with them (basics) and become your own group. As long as someone can do lead you don't have to be great singers (just able to listen and blend) to pull off a song and dance moves. And no it won't take 5 months to do. A week or two can get you one number.
Ask if your teachers can get a drum machine to help you write a drum track for said song and do it a-cappella. It's not hard if you rely on teachers at school to help you enter and do what you want to pull off. Choreography needs to be simple but look complicated to the untrained eye. You can do it again just make it easier to practice in a short window of time. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

Do a different dance to every song, but have it like perfectly timing and the perfect dance moves for each song, or you can all agree to pick out of a hat?
