The reality, however,is that secondhand smoke is far more dangerous than regular smoking in several different ways. A person that breathes in second hand smoke is actually inhaling two forms of smoke: 1.)the smoke that is let off the ciggarette, known as sidestream smoke, and 2.)the smoke that is exhaled by the person smoking, known as main stream smoke. This makes things worse because you are experiencing the effects of two harmful toxins. The fact that you are still considered a young teen can cause the effects to be worse on you..Teens and children breathe much faster than adults do,so you are recieving more smoke than your parents actually are. The idea might sound stupid, but its actually very harmful...you might want to talk to your parents and ask them to possibly smoke outside so you wont be around so much of the smoke. If they truly care about your health they will understand.
