Ballet Lessons

Question Posted Thursday December 31 2009, 7:15 pm

Hi
Well I've taken ballet for a couple years when I was younger & up to a couple years ago I wish I had stuck with it. Im 19 now, about to be 20, and I only wish I could take classes again but am I too late for that? Like I've been to a couple websites to some dance studios in my city and they talk about enrollment for young girls.
If anybody knows anything about it I'd appreciate
the help. Thanks so much.

No, you're not too late. I did ballet for 13 years. Older women in the 20s-50s, have taken classes with me or attended my studio. Just call around. Sometimes they have specific classes for older age groups beginning or returning to ballet. Some also associate age groups with the level of experience of each dancer, so the age group thing could actually have no meaning. Just call around and explain to them your situation. Good luck!

Im not really sure about the requirements for taking ballet classes in your city..but one thing i can tell you is that you can NEVER be to old for anything! Too many people dont live their lives and in the end they look back and wonder why they never did certain things. So i say go for it..whats the worst thing that can happen? Theyl tell you that youre too old? So what! at least you tried! And im pretty sure that you wont be "too old" for this..ive heard of much older people taking ballet classes,(:

hope this has helped.

xoxo,taylor.
