But the choice is yours to put yourself in a better place and situation than this one. You could sit there for hours wondering why and where things went wrong, and it just wouldn't make any difference but hurt your mentality even more. This may sound bad, but how do you know he hasn't cheated more than once? Your boyfriend probably isn't all he's made out to be. Think about it, you have this whole time to find the person you truly love- a whole life! We rush into things too fast, we stay in bad situations way too long. Don't become one of those people that accept a cheating heart- would they expect one from you? If you focus on your GOALS in life, what you want to be, career-small goals- anything to keep you moving on. You'll find the place where you belong. And someone will be by your side, someone new who shares the same interests and respects you. It's hard to disconnect yourself from someone who's made such a big spot for themselves in you heart. But now that he's gone, instead of thinking of the empty space as a bad thing- fill it with things you really love( what you love to do, your family, your friends, a job, hobbies) First recover from your past, let it go. Think of the future, the New Year! It's coming up so fast, and it's going to be so good for you! Let loose and have fun, life's too short to dwell on the past. You can move on.
