okay sooo this weekend this guy moved back to my town that ive known since 7th grade and ive seen him through some tough times, but anyway he comes back and now likes me..alot, and my friends and i went out with him tonight and they turned it around so it was mine and his "date" ugh it was so awkward and i mean i tried to like him i let him kiss me but hes just not for me, and now hes texting me saying he wants to spend more time and wants my love for him to grow? and asking if its okay to hangout again soon..idk how to let him off easy without making it even more awkward!

But if he means a lot to you as a friend then you'll need to tell him and it may not be easy, but it has to be done if you want to keep him as a friend. I would suggest doing it in person and just being really sweet about it. Say things like "I really wanted things to work out, but I think it's best if we just stay friends."
