sweet 16 program

Question Posted Saturday December 12 2009, 6:17 am

I'm having a Sweet 16 on the first week of January. It's gonna be a candy themed party. Could you give me any ideas for making the program? I'm kinda stuck 'cause I haven't thrown a party in yeeaaars. So please give me any suggestions to keep my guests entertained throughout the party. Thankyouu.:)

I like what Isearchforwords said.

You can let people decorate their own cupcakes.

Try to get a band or a DJ. I love to dance at parties. You can have a cocktail bar, but it can be fruity drinks like virgin daiquiris and Margaritas. Those are candy like flavors.

I love caricatures and photo booths. You have a professional photographer go around taking pictures of everyone. You can find students at local college's who will do it pretty cheap.

There are some good ideas on this site [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Do other google search. I put candy party. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Rather than your traditional birthday cake, set up a colorful Candy Buffet. Gather old favorites and new treats and display them in glass bowls and jars. Use a glass vase to hold fun lollipops and use punch ladles as make-shift candy scoops.

Fill jars with gumballs/jelly beans/ M&Ms and have them guess the amount for a prize.

Set out board games like Candy Land for the guests to play (I'm sure they'd still have fun despite their age:P)

Have a candy cane path that leads to your house as the guests arrive.

On the outside of your door, wrap it with silver wrapping paper and decorate with huge pieces of candy

Don't send them home without a cute candy favor! You can always provide site favor boxes or bags and let them scoop up their own sweet treats. Or, send them with one of these cute mini gumball machines. Tip: Make a personalized tag out of card stock and attach with ribbon to each gumball machine. Print each guests name or a simple "Thank You For Coming" message.

:D
