The thing is we want everyone to knoww were in love but its just a thing between are familys that were trying to keep it on the downlow..and we get scared to go out because we dont wanna get caught up..but i still do feel lyke im being used and when i tell him we just arguee non stop him saying he loves me n all but i dk?

'I love you' is a very overused phrase. It's possible that he is confused about his feelings for you, and when you bring this up to him, he wants you to have a reason to stay with him.
As you said, this has been going on for a while, and maybe he feels confused about the things going on his life right now.
Most of all, if you feel insecure about what's going on because he hasn't really talked to you about telling others about the both of you. The best thing to do with this is to sit down and talk to him about it. If he's not willing to listen, or tells you that what you're feeling is all wrong, he isn't worth it.
