Let me explain... you can build muscle all you want, but you aren't going to see it unless you get rid of the extra fat. Cardio exercises (running is the best) are wonderful for burning fat!
Build up slowly and work up to running a few miles a day. Then, do several different types of arm exercises using free weights or machines. A good work-out is about one and a half hours long. That is the best way to help get rid of the fat/flab, and it builds muscle at the same time.
