From straightish to now liking a girl

Question Posted Sunday November 29 2009, 7:38 pm

16/f So I was recently broken up with by my boyfriend Jake who is now my best friend. I still do love him but I have gotten over the shock and most of the pain that I felt at first. I have accepted it. So I've been helping him because he really likes this girl who is bisexual and she likes Jake and this girl Jane. The problem is that she likes the other girl a lot more and things have been working out between them. So my best friend (Jake) is devastated. :/

So I saw a picture of Jane, and she's really cute. I mean, Jake knows her and talked to me about her and after seeing her pictures I'm thinking wow, I'll take her!! Ahaha. This has happened before. I liked a girl that my friend (another girl) was dating. So I guess I'm attracted to unavailable lesbians? It's weird, but wow I really want this girl. Could it be because bisexuality is so normal for me? Jake is bisexual and so is the girl that he likes...and I have other friends who are too. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Girls around your age (13-20, I'm 13) seem to have fantasies about same sex relationships. I have too. It's the hormones. They seem to be the cause of everything, huh? Anyway, talk to Jake. Since he's bisexual, he'll understand. Try to get to know this Jane. Once you do, tell her your feelings and who knows what will happen ;)? Maybe you'll kiss or something. If you feel that special spark, go for it. It might been your bisexual or lesbian. But if you don't, you still could be lesbian or bi but things with Jane weren't meant to be. Consider talking to your other bisexual friends about your feelings and get their input and not just a 13 year old girl confused about sexuality. And try this last thing.... Imagine you hooking up with a guy. What are your thoughts? Now imagine you with a girl. Which was better? And now the simplest advice, follow your heart. Whatever you choose, your friends will support you. Good luck. -Paige Xxx

Whatever makes you happy, go for it. It's better to be hated for what you are than be loved for something you're not. Don't waste your life being something you're not because it's not worth living that way. Express your true identity and there is no other way to do that than just being yourself. If you're bisexual, than it's fine. You shouldn't feel bad because it's who you are. As long as you know who you are, nothing else matters.

honestly, you could just be curious because youve heard so much of it and want to see what it like for yourself. or you might really be bisexual. if you really want to find out, experiment ! you could always just realize you were wrong, or it can open a new door for you! i think itd do you good to find out for yourself. i found out that i was and ive felt a lot more comfortable with my feelins and such afterwards.
if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
good luck !
