blacksXeroses answered Tuesday November 24 2009, 4:49 pm: try and get a workers permit from the city law center since the average age for them is 15 but 14 with a good reason, then you can be a shelf stacker or bus tables or hostess pretty much anywhere but you can not be a cashier or cook. all states are different though but thats what it is mostly across the board. Put flyers on your neighbors doors and/or call your parents'friends and relatives and let them know you are available for: babysitting, dogsitting, dog walking, watering plants and picking up newspapers of those who are on vacation, doing odd jobs for them, like helping clean out the garage, mowing lawns, etc. You might call yourself "Jill of all trades" to let them know you can do a variety of things. Good luck. [ ellen537's advice column | Ask ellen537 A Question ]
