Can you use clorox to bleach your hair?

Question Posted Wednesday November 18 2009, 8:38 pm

HI!~ I wanna bleach my hair but I don't really know how. Can you use like regular household bleach like clorox to bleach your hair or do you need some special bleach? Thank you!

Do not listen to the people telling you your hair will fall out of you use the household bleach. as long as you dilute it first and best to use foils for your first try. it will make your hair dry but just get some good conditioner and it will be fine. not fall out. i have the feeling the people on here have never tried it before so there is no reason for them to be answering this question when in actual fact they know nothing about bleach. be careful of your eyes and skin obviously or even use the cap that way it wont touch your scalp and you can dye all over if you wanted. people really need to stop thinkin they know it all when they really dont. My sister is about to BLEACH my hair using the same substance and has previously used it on her own. it doesnt come out yellow or cheap brassy. its actually a nice natural colour blond. :)

AHH!! no no no no! never ever ever use household bleach on your hair ever! hair bleach is only called bleach because it makes your hair a whitish blond. if you put household bleach in your hair you will have no hair left, it will fall out.

there are many places that sell hair bleach. bleach is composed of different parts you mix in an applicator to put in your hair.
if you live near a beauty supply store they will have it, if not go to a website

or something similar. also remember when dying your hair it might burn really bad but you just have to wait it out.

good luck :)
