I feel like this is never going to end! I get headaches every single night and I don't know what to do about it. i have taken asprin tylenol and excedrin but they only help a little. It is every night. is there anything I can try or do to get rid of these darn headaches?
karenR answered Thursday November 5 2009, 7:10 am: If you have one every night I am going to guess it is probably tension headaches. Now, I am not a doctor, and any headache that is continuous like this should be discussed with your doctor.
Try a hot shower...hot as you can handle, and aim the water at your neck and shoulders. That helps me some combines with some aspirin & ibuprofen.
DO NOT do this immediately before or after a shower but, try putting some heat making pain relief cream on your neck & shoulders. I find the cream works for me every time and it doesn't take long to work. It does give you a medicine like smell. If you're like me though you won't care as long as the headache is gone!
Now that I'm older I don't have headaches as often as I did. When I was younger though I had them everyday too. It is probably just tension from the day but again, talk to your doctor about them. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
