I've been there...and at this point unfortunately there is nothing you can do. I know you want to work it out but for some reason at this time he doesn't want to. I think the best thing is to give him space and let him think about it for awhile. He may have overreacted by you not answering the phone though which a bit immature. Its hard losing someone you've been with for a long time but you have to take care of you...don't worry abut him worry about you and your well being. I know it hurts believe me I know! You can cry and be upset but don't hurt yourself. No guy is ever worth it! I'm all about lvoe and I believe in it if you're patient it will work in mysterious ways. Maybe you should give this guy sometime to think about his decision it seems a bit irrational and sudden.
I think you need to talk to someone you shouldn't be hurting yourself or harming yourself in any way, shape, or form.

This could be a test of your love for one another just keep your head up and don't give up but don't be forceful either.

Good luck! :)

Just a guess here but your watching movies with the neighbor was probably just a good excuse to break up. He may have been looking for an out for a while.
I know that isn't what you wanted to hear but it could very well be the way it is.

It will take some time to get over it, but you will. Don't try to harm yourself. It will not bring him back, & will more likely drive him further away. Nobody wants to be guilted into staying with someone. No guy that, believe it or not, you will get over soon, is worth harming yourself over.

It seems like the end of the world today, but it isn't. Grieve the loss a few days and then pick yourself back up and get back out there. You will find someone even better soon.
