How do I get a logo on the computer...

Ok so you know how companies make a logo, maybe someone draws it and makes certain colors etc...well how do I get that logo from the paper to the computer and then have it be clear and detailed...you know like the M in McDonalds or the hello kitty cartoon or the little lego man in the lego logo haha lego logo...ok so Yeah how do you get that from the paper to the computer and then ready to be printed or put onto a label or something like that. Thank you :)

You could easily use a scanner to do so. If you don't own one, most libraries have them available for use.
