Best Friend problem..

Question Posted Sunday October 4 2009, 12:06 pm

Hey, okay so my best friends birthday is landing on 18th of Oct. I told her a good few months ago that theres a strong possiblity I might be away that weekend on holidays with my family ,but i would be back the 18th for her birthday, she said that was fine she would more then likely celebrate it then or after.
I was talking to her the other day and shes like by the way we are going out for my birthday on the 17th you cant miss it and stuff like that, and im like I told you I wont be here that day theres nothing you can do about it so she starts going on about how she cant believe im missing her birthday putting the guilt trip on me when in actual fact im not missing it! techniqually. She did something really bitchy on my birthday last month, she was there on the day of my birthday and I went for a meal with my family and cousin and a few friends,I had planned to go out on the saturday night then with all my friends to a night club so it was all orginised turns out we ended up going out a thursday night spur of the moment, after that though she told me she wasnt sure if she wanted to still go on saturday because of money so i said okay thats fine and i said maybe i wont bother, then that night she rang me up and said everyone was going out that my bday plans were back on,but apperntly there was no room left in the taxi to the place! so I had no way in to my own birthday night out, maybe im over reactinng but in my mind thats really bitchy she still went anyway. im the type of person who always holds back what im feeling or if im angry with her over something i ALWAYS let it go. giving her grounds to walk all over me shes done soo much stuff that ive just let go and im sick of it. if this was anyone else i wouldnt let them treat me like that its just that shes my bestfriend and as much as i want to say how i feel i cant because its like i dont want to fall out if that makes sense.
so yea now i dont know what to do.. =/ how to approach her or what to say or am i the one whos being the bitch and blowing it out of proportion? :| sorry this was long and rantful any advice would be really apriciated thanks alot.
x

Leaving you out of your own birthday party? that's fucked. some other girl should have gotten thrown out of the cab, hopefully your bitchy "best friend". maybe you should try to talk and see what's going on with her, shes treating you like shit honey. good luck.
