light brown highlights on very dark brown/black hair
i'm going to get light brown highlights on thursday. my hair is very dark brown. when i'm in the light i can see the brown a little bit but otherwise it looks completely black. will the light brown show? will it turn my hair a different color?

My hair is the same exact color and I got blondish highlights. The first time you get your hair done, depending on how much of your hair that gets streaked, it will still look kind of the same- but with a little lighter tint. If you get it re done and touched up- it will turn ur hair many shades lighter and your dark hair will look like lowlights.

If you're getting them done in a salon they'll show, and be the color you asked for. Or really close.
It should look really nice. Make sure you ask the person doing your hair to put a couple other darker colors in there too, to make it look less severe =) Take it from someone who had horribly blonde highlights, you need the color blends in there, haha.
