Question Posted Wednesday September 23 2009, 11:51 pm
I have sat and thought many a times about the point of life. When one comes to think about it, life is jsut about the most pointless and meaningless thing there is around. We are born, we are stupid and useless. We work for many many years with minimal enjoyment, then we are again stupid and useless. I really don't get the point of all this s**t and it really is getting to me. I have thought about how we all really jsut WANT to live, we don't really need to live. What does this universe or whatever need with humans? We are a pointless existence. In the end, everything will be gone. When the supernova of our sun happenes, everything will be gone. What really is the point? no matter the little joys you may get out of life, I don't see the point in going on through a long and pointless life, to get to nowhere. Death? that's all you get as a reward. its truly pathetic. Therefore, I don't want to live any longer, and I would like to commit suicide. But I am scared, and I do not want to make a scene. I want to just quickly, silently, and painlessly pass away, and be done with all this bulls**t. Please help me out. thank you

But...(gotta love that word) when you ask "why", I ask "why the fuck not?". looks like somebody's got a bit of depression going on, or, If I am mistaken, a very calculating and completely inhuman thought pattern. either way, I'd suggest sticking around for the rest of the show to at least watch these other jackasses and their incessant antics.
If you heed any of my advice, heed this; change shit up if its boring you to death(pun intended), make your one life worth living, do crazy ass shit that nobody would expect, its good fun for all involved. But if you do decide that shit's not worth it, do your friends and family a favor and either lay down tarps to minimize the mess, or make it look like an accident(ie: trip and fall in front of a car). either way you're going to traumatize the fuck out of your friends and family, but at least they didn't have to scoop your guts off the wall.
lolalufonda222 answered Friday September 25 2009, 12:46 am: please please please don't kill youself.
just because most peoples lives dont seem meaningfull or enjoyable to you, it doesnt mean your cant be. i dont mean to sound cliche and cheesy but lifes what you make it. how about instead of giving up, you try and make it better? for yourself, and for others! you have the opportunity to make life a more meaningful thing for everyone. you seem like a really smart person who could go on to live a very happy life. please dont give up, because once you do, you will never have a second chance.
and if you dont care at all about any of that, think of it this way....imagine how many people you will effect by this. everyone you know will live with te guilt for the rest of their lives of thinking it was their fault, and you will definatly be missed.
please dont do this, you have no idea what happens after you die and for all youknow it could be even more pointless than life. you only have one chance at life, please make the most of it, trust me, life is a lot shorter than you think. Your valuable insight is right on the money! In fact, you actually have something of great value to share with others who don't yet see things clearly like you do.
You are right, all human behavior is absolutely pointless unless it has power to bring a sense of quality and appreciation into your heart and mind.
It's important for people to realize, just like you said in your important letter, that even if they have the perfect career, family, house, car, boat, and you name it, at the deepest level none of it really matters.
Ultimately there is no where to go and nothing to do other than to be here, be aware, and to be fully present with a deep sense of appreciation in your heart.
With your powerful ability to observe, I'm sure you've been able to appreciate the way elements in our universe change from one form to another with a beautiful sense of ease, fluidity and grace. And you are right...
Some day a supernova (or some other natural force) is likely to change your sense of self from one form to another with the same ease, fluidity, and grace.
However, while you are in your current (and wonderful) form, you have a unique and powerful ability to appreciate how incredible you (as an inseparable part of the universe) really are.
You might not have this ability later when you are in non-human form.
So forget about (for the moment) all the people who are lost within their own sense of self-importance.
Your powerful insight is an opportunity for you to wake up and get inspired about a new way to really come alive while in this form!
Like I said earlier, now you have something of great value to share with others who don't yet see things clearly like you do.
One of the greatest things you can do in order to cultivate a deep appreciation for life itself is to reach for the fullest potential of your design.
In short, this means one more purpose in your wonderful life (beyond appreciation itself) could be to become the greatest expression of human form you can be.
You can become an example and therefore a teacher for those people who don't yet see clearly in the way you are now able. In other words, you can help others to find a simple and powerful meaning in life so you can begin to enjoy great company while you are still able to be in human form!
Stick around and surprise yourself with what you can create here on earth!

Deal with the facts at hand. You are here, you have a mind and body that's capable of doing some amazing things, there's a wonderous world out there to explore, and some cool people to hang with.
As the great philosopher Ted Nugent once put it - "You are born at point 'A', you will die at point 'B'. In between, kick maximum ass." [ Dave68's advice column | Ask Dave68 A Question ]

We are put here to do a job, make a better living for the next generation to learn, grow and to help others. In the end we all pass away but we trying to make everyday worthwhile so when we die we die knowing we made a difference or at least trying. Although my life isn't always perfect I try to live everyday at the fullest because there are people who never got to live as long as I have/am. If you end your life not only will you hurt the ones who love you most, but you can't go back.
