the pill

Question Posted Monday September 21 2009, 12:03 am

I just started taking the pill about a month ago and I was wondering if it can affect your mood? I've been pretty sad and stressed lately..but it comes and goes. I just started college so I don't know whether to blame this major change or the pill..or probably some of both. Any insight would be helpful! thanks

It's possible. Some people have horrible reactions to certain hormones. Give it three pill packs before you decide if it's good for you (unless, of course, these thoughts are suicidal, or something serious like that).

It is also possibly in your head, because you're thinking of the possibility of it being the pill. Try to forget that the pill could affect your mood (without forgetting to take it, haha) and see how you feel. In mnay cases, your mood can actually improve!

The pill can affect your mood. Since you just started your body just might need to adjust to the change in hormones. But if after two or three months if it doesn't get better or gets worse, talk to you doctor about putting you on a different kind.
