Flu Shot

Question Posted Friday September 18 2009, 10:29 pm

I had the flu shot thursday, yesterday. And I was wondering, if the flu causes you to get sick how long does it usually take, because I'm starting to feel a little nauseated.

The actuall shot that you get for a flu shot, is the actuall flu. They inject you with the bacteria from the flu, so your white blood cells can fight it off and become immune to the virus. It is normal to get a little sick from it. Some people get very sick from it, but usually your body fights it off.

I got sick after I had my shot, and I was sick for a couple of days. 3 tops. it might last about a week. If the nauseating feeling doesnt go away after a couple more days, contact your doctor. Good luck :-)
