Cant put a tampon in


Question Posted Monday September 14 2009, 9:57 pm

Hey, i tried putting a tampon in for the the first time yesterday and i had trouble getting it in.
Am i supposed to do anything special, is it supposed to hurt like that?

The brand can make a big difference. The first couple of brands that I tried had the cardboard applicators which made them hard to go in and hurt. I recommend Tampax pearl. The applicator is smooth plastic and works great.

Hey i had the same problem when i first started using tampons. I tried multiple times and just couldnt seem to get it in right. First make sure your relaxed and i would recommend sitting down while doing it and spread your legs. If your hymen isnt broke it may hurt at first because you're in a sense trying to break the skin. Just the key is to relax, put it in at an angle like it says on the box and slide it in.
