how to memorize polyatomic ions and charges

Question Posted Sunday September 6 2009, 5:46 pm

So this year I'm taking honors chemistry and the first test is on all the polyatomic ions, their symbols and charges.
We have a list of them and I'm having a tough time memorizing them...With no real remembrance of the periodic table is there any pattern to their symbols/charges?
I tried googling it but it didn't help at all

THANK YOU!

Okay, I know nothing of polyatomic ions.
Sorry.
BUT! There's this song called "The elements song"
By Tom Lehrer.
It's simply all the elements of the periodic table set to a possibly recognizable tune.

Maybe you could download it or something.

That's the song. :D

Sorry, this was probably no help...
But it will help with remembering the periodic table.
xx
