breast cancer club
Hey, my names Jessica I'm 15 and I'm a sophmore in highschool. We have a lot of clubs, but I'm not intrested in any. I want to start one for Breast Cancer Awareness. Its basically to support people with breast cancer and to raise money for them. Does anyone have any ideas to raise money and to get people to join the club? Also, what do I tell the activities director so she can aprove of this ? Thank you in advance (:

Well I honestly don't know, but if I were in your position...
To raise money you can do bake sales, sell candies or lollipops that are pink, maybe make some ribbons or order ribbons specifically that are for breast cancer awareness. Hand out flyers and maybe if you know any friends who have a band you can get them to play a gig to help you out, charge a few dollars to let people in and make sure they play good haha... I mean anything that is fun, entertaining, delicious!! Perhaps you can let people know every cent goes to raise awareness...
To get people to join the club I would start off with friends and teachers... I would tell them what the club is about, why I want to start it off, and the benefits. Girls can get more educated on how to conduct a self breast exam, etc. Also, maybe if you can get a counselor or a teacher who can help give advice to those who may have breast cancer or knows someone who does, etc, can help students out. You know, the club can be a success if people knew these things. GOOD LUCK!! And let me know if everything goes great
