mole

Question Posted Monday August 10 2009, 6:03 pm

15/f so i have a mole in a rather awkward spot, in my inner thigh vagina area. i REALLY wanna get it removed obvioulsy because im scared if someone sees it they would freak out or something. I have other moles on my body, and i got one removed the other day, and im getting the others removed soon. i thought that would be the perfect opportunity to get it removed right? wrong! my dad decided that he HAD to come in the room with me for some reason. so i don't know when i am ever going to get them removed! i heard that you can actually remove moles yourself, but im scared...that is a delicate spot and im sure it could get infected easily right? what should i do, any advice? i want it gone!

More than likely, your dad assumed that you'd be more comfortable with him there. Just tell him honestly that you're having a mole removed from an awkward spot and you'd rather have him step outside.

If he's concerned that you'd be alone in the room with the doctor, you can ask if a nurse could be in the corner of the room. Many doctors do this already, to prevent potential accusations of assault and such.

i would NOT try to remove it yourself. ESPECIALLY since its in such a delicate area.

be mature about it and tell your dad that you have a mole in a rather awkward spot, and you will not allow him to be in the room while its being removed.

Also tell your doctor the same thing when you get there so that your doctor will ask your dad to leave the room.

hope this helps!!!
