For instance, my brother dropped his ipod in the pool, it was only for a few seconds and he quickly grabbed it out..but, the damage was already done. Then again, who knows? Maybe it isn't that badly damaged. Try getting it checked out somewhere like the apple store (creator of apple ipods). However, I do think that since it was in both the washer and drier..that it is pretty much ruined.
