What is cash for clunkers exactly and does my car qualify as a clunker? Hi there! I am trying to get a better car and my friend asked me if I tried a cash for clunkers thing she heard about on the radio, I think. I haven't heard anything about a cash for clunkers and I was curious if it might be beneficial to me. Can anybody tell me about it?
My friend also said that my car had to qualify for it or something. I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix with over 160k miles. Does it qualify or no?
